What is Attukal Pongala?
Attukal Pongala is a unique festival where women come together to prepare a divine offering to the Goddess Attukalamma. It's a celebration of women's power, community, and spirituality. Let's recreate this beautiful tradition right here in Phoenix! Stay tuned for more information.

What to Expect:
• Sacred Rituals: Engage in the traditional Pongala ceremony with reverence and devotion.
• Community Bonding: Connect with fellow devotees and build lasting friendships.
• Delicious Prasadam: Relish the blessed offerings prepared during the ceremony.
• Mahaprasadam : Traditional Pongala Sadhya (Lunch)

How to Participate and Registration Details:
• Submit your registration
• Firewood, Bricks, flowers and Pongala Sadhya will be provided at the temple with a nominal donation of $21.00.
• Bring Your Pot: Similar to the tradition in Kerala, kindly bring your pots and ingredients for Pongala. Items to bring include, but are not limited to, a Pongala Pot, Mixing Spoon, Lid for the Pot, Cotton Cloth, Kerala Raw Red Rice (Chamba Pachari) or Raw White Rice, Jaggery, Grated Coconut, Ghee, Cardamom, Cashews, Raisins, and Banana.
• Dress in Traditional Attire: Embrace the festive spirit by wearing traditional attire.

Please note that the registration fee will be refundable if you are unable to make it for the Pongala.
